Our Story
Carolina Country Kennels has been breeding quality golden retrievers and goldendoodles since 1995. We feel our biggest recommendations are our repeat customers coming back for second, third, and even a forth baby. Both my husband and myself are now retired, have lived on 70 acres for over 45 years, and could not think of a better way to spend our ‘golden’ years.
We supervise our breedings and deliveries to make sure our parents and babies are given every advantage possible. Our parents love showing off their babies and welcome visitors.
The babies are handled daily and by three weeks are introduced to a warm sloppy milkshake consistency puppy concoction. Within 2 days they are diving in enthusiastically and within 5 days are waiting for their breakfast. We use a very high quality large breed puppy food and keep a feeder and water in their pens so moms and puppies have access at will. By now moms are producing milk hand over fist and we want to make sure she has as many quality calories as she will consume.
By 5 weeks we start very basic training (no jumping, & we are not their chew toys) and they naturally start using their doggy doors to potty. First shot and wormings up to date are included.
